Using PictoCripto is free for browsing, exploring, and participating in the community. Creating or bidding on NFTs involves blockchain transactions, so users pay standard gas fees and optionally royalties defined by creators. We don’t charge hidden platform fees — our goal is to make NFT creation and discovery as accessible as possible.

PictoCripto runs on a permissionless NFT auction system where each NFT is a unique ERC-721 token. Creators can mint AI-generated artwork or upload their own, set auction parameters, and publish it directly to the blockchain. Bidders stake tokens to participate, and auctions finalize on-chain for full transparency. Storage is decentralized using IPFS, while OpenSearch and PostgreSQL ensure fast search and robust indexing. The entire platform is open, self-custodial, and built with modern tools like Next.js, NestJS, and Solidity.

We give creators access to cutting-edge text-to-image generation engines like OpenAI's DALL·E, Gemini Image, and other custom fine-tuned models designed to generate high-quality, expressive digital art.

All NFTs on PictoCripto are securely minted on the Ethereum blockchain using our custom ERC-721 smart contracts. The metadata and media files are stored using IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), a decentralized storage network that distributes data across a global network of nodes.

We run our own open-source IPFS Kubo server to pin and serve NFT assets directly. Additionally, creators have the option to pin their files to third-party services like Pinata, NFT.storage, or web3.storage, many of which offer free-tier plans to increase availability and resilience.

This dual-layer design — blockchain for ownership and IPFS for media — ensures that every NFT is cryptographically verifiable, tamper-resistant, and widely accessible on major secondary marketplaces like OpenSea, provided the content remains pinned. The unique Content Identifier (CID) used by IPFS guarantees integrity by linking directly to the exact file version stored.
